- A number of freshwater fish from the other side of the Rockies crept into B.C. thousands of years ago but are unknown to many British Columbians simply because they chose to swim up into northeastern B.C. These "foreign fish" include the Arctic grayling, inconnu, lake trout, northern pike and walleye.
